In 1938, Theodore Wislocky and his son, John, founded Newark Trade Linotypers at a time when Linotype linecasting machines and hand-set type were the foundation of the printing industry. By 1958, the company incorporated as Newark Trade Typographers and continued its commitment to embracing new technologies and evolving industry standards.
During the 1960s, Newark Trade became one of the first typographic firms to transition from traditional "hot metal" typesetting to "cold type" photocomposition. In 1970, Robert Wislocky joined the company after graduating from Rochester Institute of Technology's College of Printing Management. His vision and leadership helped guide Newark Trade through the digital revolution, transforming the company into
a leader in graphic communications and production services.
As desktop publishing, digital printing, and emerging communication technologies reshaped the industry, Newark Trade continued to evolve. Design, proofreading, digital color printing, variable data printing, large-format graphics, scanning, and specialized production services were added to meet the growing needs of clients across a wide range
of industries.
Today, Newark Trade Graphic Communications proudly continues its legacy under woman-owned leadership, carrying forward the same commitment to innovation, quality, client service, and professional integrity that has defined the company for more than eight decades. Supported by a highly skilled and experienced team, we serve clients across pharmaceutical communications, marketing production, print, and creative services, helping them communicate with confidence in
an ever-changing world.
